The long awaited re-opening of the new Landsdowne Road Stadium in Dublin finally happened in August of this year. Now renamed the Aviva Stadium, the building provides a very impressive, state-of-the-art new landmark for the city of Dublin.
With its cutting-edge curved design, transparent shell and sheer size it is sure to be the envy of many of Europe's sports club. Destined to host not only sports' fixture, the Aviva will play host to a variety of concerts and artists in the future. Michael Buble will be the first of many stars to host a musical event there this August.
53 Degrees Design were priviliged to be involved in a part of the new building having been commissioned to build and install the new RTE Sports Studio at the grounds. This high-profile project was recently completed and the new studios were shown to TV audiences during the course of the Combined Provinces Rugby Fixture games in July.
This project represents yet another successful cooperation between 53 Degrees and the national broadcaster.
